Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C)

Vitamin C used as an antioxidant preservative; halal.
Why?
Ascorbic acid is synthesized industrially from glucose (usually corn-derived) and used to prevent browning and oxidation in juices, cured meats, and baked goods. It contains no animal or alcohol-derived material.
