Disodium Guanylate & Inosinate (Flavor Enhancers)

Savory flavor enhancers often used alongside MSG; can be derived from meat, fish, or plant/yeast fermentation.

Why?

These flavor enhancers, commonly found in instant noodles, chips, and savory snacks alongside MSG, were traditionally extracted from dried fish (bonito) or meat. Most commercial production today uses fermentation from plant or yeast sources, but both methods remain in use industrially and manufacturers rarely specify which was used.
